The Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Plate is available in various corrosion resistant stainless steel grades. They can effectively be used for various elevated high temperature applications. One of the best things about the hot rolling process is that it has a high workability and can be recycled as well. As the processed Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Sheet possesses higher formability, which makes working with it easier in the subsequent operations of the processing.
For the hot rolling process, a large and rectangular metal slab is required, which is also known as billet. Firstly, the billet is heated and the same is compressed to form a huge roll, which passes through several rolling rollers in the heated conditions. This procedure helps the manufacturers to achieve the desired dimensions of the HR Sheet. The same is then wound into coil rolls and then they are left to cool down at room temperature. Then the material is cut into desired shape and they are ready to be packaged.
The HR finish stainless steel sheet also comes with several advantages, which includes:
- They are less expensive when compared to cold rolled plates. This is because the hot rolling procedure involves less processing.
- As the hot rolling process takes place at a very high temperature, hence they come with higher workability and formability.
- The HR Plate undergoes the hot rolling procedure wherein the steel is cooled down gradually which helps the material to normalize its structure. This in turn, helps the plate to become free of all types of internal stresses.
The Hot-rolled high strength steel plate can be put to a wide range of applications in those places where high tolerances are not necessary. The hot rolled steel can shrink during the cooling procedure and that is why the control over the shape of a high rolled steel is very less. Usually, they are used in construction materials, agricultural equipment, automobile parts, etc.view Hot Rolled Steel Plate Price in India
